In November 2003 I was involved in a RSL broadcast from Salford Lads Club.
Here is a selection of pictures from the week.

First you need to load a load of kit in the back of a van. This is a nice
blurred action shot.

Here Shack drives the van while I attempt to give good directions around the
Manchester city centre one way systems.

Then we unload the van and build and test the studio.

Me with a special top secret device hidden behind the clock.

After a lot of hard work we discovered that Sainsbury's on Regent Road, Salford
sells freshly made curry which you take away and stick in the microwave.

Relaxing and enjoying our curry in the historic surroundings of Salford lads
club.

Me and shack had great fun and games fitting the aerial on the roof. But we
eventually got it all sorted with the help of a bit of gaffer tape to make
sure everything stayed put. This is a nice view from the roof of the building,
looking towards Salford Quays and to the top right of the picture you can
just make out Manchester Utds ground.

Mean while back inside we're on the air, and here I am updating the stations
web site with some photos. You can still view these at www.ocwfm.org.

The Sunday night featured a live session from local band Doomed to Failure,
here I am trying to find the right cables, then failing to, so doing a spot
of impromptu soldiering.

Here I am mixing the session. Don't worry if you've never heard of the band,
neither has anyone else.
