WELCOME TO MY PERSONAL WEB SITE
Welcome to the Phil Edmonds Web Site v3. Last time I redesigned this site was in 2001 - 9 years later and the popular 'look' of web sites has changed, thus this more current look.
On the 30th May 1997 I uploaded the first version of this site, which I entitled 'The Phil Edmonds Home Page' hosted on Geocities, in the days before Yahoo owned them and your site had a massive URL.
Over a decade on, and this site seemed to be in limbo, both in me uploading any updates, and actually being on-line. In the late 'noughties' this site was often off line, thanks to my service provider making a hash of transfering their web hosting to another provider. To cut a long storyt short I said sod it - a three year out of date website ain't that important - resulting in a 'access denied' message. Come 2009 and the provider gave customers control over the DNS - I moved my web site to a different server and was back on line. But......
Out Of Date Content Warning!
Don't let the new look fool you. Other than this page, the rest of the site hasn't changed since 2004 - see the date updated stamp at the top of each page before you take any items as being current. I have noticed some graphics out of place thanks to the new style sheet not playing happy with my old coding. Therefore I am working on sorting this and fixing any broken links.
But by way of introduction - I'm Phil Edmonds, man of technical things, occasional presenter and producer at many a small radio station, along with many other things.
I'm in the process of developing a few web site bits - this will stay as a personal collection of bits and bobs, see www.philedmonds.com for my Blog with more up to date content. Also don't bother searching for me on Twitter / Facebook / MySpace etc. I don't do them (and in anycase my namesake who works at Sharp seems to have beaten me to all the best usernames....)
